Peeking out from under my rock
At least a few folks have noticed I've been lying low on the Net since around Christmas. I'll spare everyone the details, but will say a few separate muscoskeletal issues, some recent, others I've had since high school, suddenly combined into one clusterf*ck of pain. Basically, my body decided it hates me. I'm improving thanks to a regime of chiropractic, massage, and a more ergonomic-friendly work environment. I also tried prescription painkillers, anti-inflammatories, and muscle relaxers for a few weeks, but those caused their own issues, so I'm pleased to report I've been med-free for a month now. At this point, the pain has been narrowed down to my neck, which has officially been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, so my masseuse and chiropractor are now focusing on that. Computer use is one of the aggravating factors, which has cut into my writing time and online activities. I'm still here, though, lurking in the shadows. Just don't expect to hear much from me until I can handle typing for more than half an hour at a time.
Meanwhile, I was already on hiatus from writing -- I'm just going to be on it a little longer. I'm pleased to say I've mentally drafted some new stories, so when I do sit down and start writing again, I have a wealth of ideas to explore. I did manage to draft a few guest blog posts here and there. They'll start turning up on the Net soon, so stay tuned for linkage. I also contracted a reprint, so check back for more details on the re-release of Efflorescence, coming soon from Tease Publishing!
