Guest blogging at James Buchanan's place

I'm guest blogging over at James Buchanan's place today. I touch on how BDSM can be fun, as in funny, with a real-life account of one of my more interesting shopping expeditions. Read about my youthful misadventure and share your own crazy BDSM shopping stories here:

Many thanks to James for inviting me to post!

Shake your bon bon, Ricky baby!

I admit I'm not a huge fan of Ricky Martin's music (I love Latino music but am not fond of the pop-produced variety), but I've always thought Mr. Martin was a fine specimen of a man. (He was particularly hot back when he was on General Hospital and had long hair! Mmmm!!!!) I know some folks find his announcement a bit underwhelming and not exactly shocking, and really, who cares if he's gay? But having talked extensively with gay Latino friends about the discrimination they face in a very "machismo" culture, I think it's not only awesome but important for a high profile personality like Ricky Martin to come out and tell the world yes, this is who I am.

And I must also confess, I do like Shake Your Bon Bon, a little. I have perhaps been known to turn it up on the car stereo a few times over the years...

You go, Ricky!

Lessons Learned, second book in the Eldritch Legacy, has received a nice 4 star review (or in this case, 4 tombstones!) from Bitten by Books. See what reviewer CeCe has to say about the dark Regency installment of the series here:

I'm still planning to write a companion series to fill in the blanks between installments. More on that as my writing schedule gets back to normal!

Banana briefs?

Australian menswear company aussieBum recently announced their new underwear made from "the weave of the bark from the banana tree, and soft organic cotton, ensuring ultimate comfort, with an eco friendly flavour that will keep you coming back for seconds." That's right, banana briefs from Down Under! Check out this highly, um, informative video:

Bananas -- they're not just for breakfast cereal anymore!

Great review for Secrets Revealed!

I don't enjoy much cross-readership between my Blue Ruin and Eldritch Legacy readers, so it's really nice to hear from peeps who've read both series. I was particularly thrilled to receive this wonderful review for Eldritch Legacy 1: Secrets Revealed from MB Leah. She has favorably reviewed Blue Ruin at her M/M blog, so it was a special treat to see the Eldritches mentioned at her other venue, Loving Venus -Loving Mars, a blog devoted to books that feature or include F/F content. Check out the review and share your own comments here:

Thanks, Leah!

Upcoming release!

My 1920s bondage novella, Efflorescence, will be re-released soon by Tease Publishing. For reasons I won't go into here, the original anthology it appeared in didn't really reach the right readership. I at least took comfort in knowing my contribution was well-received by reviewers, but I'm hoping it enjoys a wider run the second time around with a new house. Look for Efflorescence in both stand-alone e-book and print anthology The Ties That Bind in the next few months. More details and cover art soon!
