Panic Switch

When my hipper-than-me daughter introduced me to Silversun Pickups, my initial impression was Smashing Pumpkins v2.0. (I must say, the band lineup is eerily similar!) The more I listen to them, though, the more they remind me of old school Love & Rockets. Their CD Swoon gives me that same rush and high that Love & Rockets' Express gave me back in high school. I like to think I raised my daughter on the good stuff, so it's nice that she can repay the favor.

I recommend listening to the entire Swoon CD from start to finish, but here's my current autoplay favorite to see me through the day. I love how it lulls you in and then works up to crescendo before you realize what's happened. Particularly effective when listening to it over the headphones, or while driving. (Not at the same time, of course!)
